Ikusasa Green is a 70% black owned company with a level 3 BEE rating situated in the Border area of the Eastern Cape. We at Ikusasa Green specialise in manufacturing roto-moulded products through the utilisation of green energy.
The Romer Cooler box is one of the high-end products that we manufacture that keeps ice for five days. The cooler boxes are designed for the ultimate and extreme adventure seeker and is ideal for outdoor adventure such as hunting, fishing, 4 x 4 enthusiasts and camping but is versatile and durable to be used by the army, vet nary services and aid organisations to mention a few.
The Plaster Blaster is another durable product that we manufacture. This product is a hand held mortar sprayer that has a roto-moulded hopper. It can be used to apply mortar to just about any surface but is mostly used to apply mortar to SCIP panels (vertical insulated panels) for a ‘green’ approach to building.
The factory is managed by a team of innovators drawn from the local community of Stutterheim where the factory is located.
We pride ourselves for being amongst the few manufacturing concerns that produce roto-moulded products using green energy; we further pride ourselves for having one of our shareholders being a community enterprise that is geared at ploughing some of the profits made in community empowerment and development initiatives.
Ikusasa Green is governed by a board of professionals and entrepreneurs who have extensive interest in Business and Manufacturing.
Here is an introduction to our Board:
Mr Mkululi Padade is the Chairman of the Ikusasa Green board and holds a BSc hons Degree and several management Diplomas. He is also the Executive Chairman of the Kula Investment group, which he co-founded with his partner 17 years ago. Mkululi Pakade has used his entrepreneurial skills to over the years, build new companies into formidable business enterprises which today are operating as established brands with significant market share.
Mr Lumko Mhlauli is a director of systems, quality control and operations on the board of Ikusasa Green. He holds a BSc Mechanical Engineering degree which he passed with distinction from the University of London. Lumko Mhlauli is the current Executive chairman of Lukhozi Consulting Engineers, a company he established with partners and led to success for the past 12 years.
Mr Michael Römer is the Managing Director of Ikusasa Green. He has been running his own business for more than 20 years and is a refrigeration technician by trade. Four years ago he started a roto-moulding business whereby he has obtained vast knowledge of the process and manufacturing of product. His technical input and innovation concepts have brought great value to the roto-moulding process.
Ms Nozithembiso Dzedze having worked in a family business is based in the Eastern Cape searching for opportunities.
She has been part of the Local Government transitional agenda to facilitate setting up the South African transformation process towards a new order of governance and has been participating in the Council within Chris Hani District Municipality.
She has set herself on initiatives that seek to bring about new thinking and opportunities in business within communities and has developed interest in Agricultural Ventures.
She brings in a wealth of strategic thinking on initiatives.
Nozithembiso considers herself as bringing a wealth of experience in search of opportunities that promote enterprise ventures.
Tamsanqa Gxowo, has a national diploma in Business Management and has been working in different levels of business management for the past ten years.
